Former King & Spalding Partner Forms IP Boutique

Law360, New York (March 18, 2010, 3:53 PM ET) -- Seeking to offer better billing rates to clients, a former partner at King & Spalding LLP has started an intellectual property boutique that will focus on providing patent services to biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

James Johnson on Monday opened Johnson & Associates, which will utilize a virtual firm model to essentially be a “paperless” operation and help keep costs down. The firm is based in Savannah, Ga., and will also have attorneys working in Atlanta and Philadelphia.
