Law360, New York (March 31, 2010, 2:47 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission administrative law judge in charge of a battle over flash memory chips has denied Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s bid for a ruling that bankrupt Spansion Inc. failed to satisfy the domestic industry requirement with respect to one of its asserted patents.
Judge Charles E. Bullock signed off on an order Monday denying Samsung's March 3 motion, which sought a summary determination that Spansion had not established the existence of a domestic industry with respect to U.S. Patent Number 5,715,194.
