Law360, New York (April 01, 2010, 2:42 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has voted to investigate Apple Inc.'s claims that Taiwanese cell phone maker HTC Corp. imported smartphones that infringed 10 patents used in Apple's iPhone.
The ITC announced on Wednesday that it has decided to launch the probe, which is based on Apple's Section 337 complaint alleging that HTC's importation of smart phones infringed Apple's patents.
According to the ITC, the technology at issue relates to the software and hardware used in cell phones, smart phones and other mobile communications devices....
