Apple Fights Nokia Sanctions Bid In Cell Phone IP Feud

Law360, New York (April 07, 2010, 4:04 PM ET) -- Apple Inc. has urged a judge to reject Nokia Corp.'s attempt to pare down the iPod maker's patent infringement suit, describing Nokia's request for sanctions as a desperate move not permitted under the U.S. International Trade Commission's rules.

Both Apple and the ITC's Office of Unfair Import Investigations filed opposition briefs with Administrative Law Judge Charles E. Bullock on Monday, arguing that he should refuse Nokia's motion to sanction Apple and drop two patents from the dispute.
