Antitrust Counterclaims Cut From Bally Gaming IP Suit

Law360, New York (April 30, 2010, 3:14 PM ET) -- A federal judge has granted International Game Technology’s motion to dismiss antitrust and unfair competition counterclaims from its infringement dispute against rival casino game maker Bally Gaming International Inc. over patents for slot machine features.

Judge Sue L. Robinson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware issued an order Wednesday cutting the antitrust counterclaims from the case.

IGT argued that the case couldn't move forward unless the court dismissed the claims or ruled on the amount of damages Bally should pay for infringement....
