Law360, New York (May 03, 2010, 1:33 PM ET) -- In round two of a patent dispute between LG Display Co. Ltd. and AU Optronics Corp., a federal judge has ruled that AUO did not infringe four LG patents related to liquid crystal display monitors.
Judge Joseph J. Farnan Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware on Friday ruled that the LG patents-in-suit were in fact valid, but that the world's second-largest LCD maker had failed to prove by a preponderance of evidence that its rival had ripped off the technology....
