Universal Ends Music Copyright Spat With Playlist

Law360, New York (May 11, 2010, 7:30 PM ET) -- Universal Music Group has ended its copyright infringement claims against Project Playlist, a music streaming website that had fired back counterclaims that the recording giants had created an anti-competitive scheme to drive the website out of business.

Judge Denny Chin on Friday signed off on the stipulated dismissal in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, with each party to bear its own court costs.
