Law360, New York (May 18, 2010, 5:37 PM ET) -- Business communications systems company Avaya Inc. has become the latest defendant to settle a suit brought by an Acacia Research Corp. unit that accuses nearly two dozen companies of infringing a patent covering a digital network access server.
Avaya and Acacia subsidiary Network Gateway Solutions LLC filed a joint motion Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, saying they had reached a settlement and asking the court to dismiss Avaya from the case with prejudice.
