Law360, New York (January 23, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Apple Inc.’s troubles in Europe expanded this week after consumer groups in Germany and France said they had joined a Scandinavia-led campaign to force the electronics company to allow music purchased on iTunes to work without an iPod.
The group, which includes Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, claims Apple is breaking their competition laws by ensuring songs downloaded from its online music store only work with its market-topping digital music player.
