Samsung Fails To Nix Murata Capacitor IP In ITC Spat

Law360, New York (June 10, 2010, 2:41 PM ET) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission administrative law judge has denied the last of Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co. Ltd. bids to invalidate four Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd. patents related to ceramic capacitors, following earlier rejections of the electronics giant's other three invalidity motions.

Administrative Law Judge James Gildea on Wednesday filed a sealed order denying Samsung's motion for summary determination of invalidity on U.S. Patent Number 6,243,254, titled “Dielectric ceramic composition and laminated ceramic capacitor using the same.”
