Naked Cowboy Says Naked Cowgirl Ripped Off His IP

Law360, New York (June 22, 2010, 4:34 PM ET) -- Iconic New York street entertainer the Naked Cowboy has threatened to bring legal action against a bikini-clad rival who calls herself the Naked Cowgirl, claiming her act infringes his trademarks and copyrights.

The Naked Cowboy, whose real name is Robert Burck, sent his fellow Times Square entertainer a cease-and-desist letter in mid-June, demanding that she sign a franchise agreement or get a different shtick, according to Todd Rubenstein, executive director of Burck's company, Naked Cowboy Enterprises.
