ITC Bars Emcore From Selling Infringing Optoelectronics

Law360, New York (July 13, 2010, 1:56 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has issued a limited exclusion order and cease-and-desist order against semiconductor company Emcore Corp., which was found to have imported optoelectronic devices that infringe an optical communications patent held by Avago Technologies Ltd.

The exclusion order will bar Emcore from importing any of the infringing optoelectronic products, while the cease-and-desist order prohibits the company from selling or distributing the products in the U.S.
