Law360, New York (August 10, 2010, 5:28 PM ET) -- The trustee in charge of bankrupt Unix software provider SCO Group Inc.'s estate has asked a bankruptcy court for permission to auction off its software business in the wake of the company's loss in a copyright suit against Novell Inc.
Bonnie Glantz Fatell of Blank Rome LLP, counsel to Chapter 11 trustee Edward N. Cahn, said in a motion filed Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware that an asset sale would be in the best interest of SCO's creditors.
