Law360, New York (August 25, 2010, 12:29 PM ET) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has announced plans to launch a new trial cooperation initiative with Russia's patent agency, part of ongoing global efforts to make the process of applying for patents more efficient through the Patent Prosecution Highway.
The USPTO said Monday that the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks of the Russian Federation, known as Rospatent, had agreed to join the Patent Prosecution Highway pilot program as of Sept. 1.
