Default Looms For Mexican Casket Co. In 337 Case

Law360, New York (September 02, 2010, 2:17 PM ET) -- Ataudes Aguilares SRL, a Mexican company accused by U.S. casket maker Batesville Services Inc. of importing infringing caskets into Puerto Rico, must respond to the complaint by Sept. 21 or face an entry of default, according to the U.S. International Trade Commission.

The ITC on Tuesday ordered Ataudes Aguilares to demonstrate why it should not be found in default based on its failure to respond to Batesville's complaint and the commission's notice of investigation, as well as subsequent discovery requests.
