Online Gaming Patent Suit V. Sony Remains In Texas

Law360, New York (September 08, 2010, 1:15 PM ET) -- PalTalk Holdings Inc.'s suit accusing Sony Corp. and others of infringing two patents related to interactive online game play will remain in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, a federal judge has ruled, citing his own familiarity with the technology involved.

Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham IV on Friday denied the defendants' motion to transfer the case to the Northern District of California, noting that he had overseen PalTalk's suit against Microsoft Corp. regarding the same patents.
