Law360, New York (September 09, 2010, 3:19 PM ET) -- TPV International Inc. and a group of related companies have agreed to license television and computer display patents from Sony Corp., marking a major step toward the resolution of a Section 337 case pending in the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Administrative Law Judge Theodore R. Essex on Tuesday approved Sony and TPV's joint motion to terminate the investigation, finding that it would not harm public interest. The settlement is still subject to the commission's approval.
