Nova Wins Stay In Semiconductor Patent Lawsuit

Law360, New York (March 05, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Nova Measuring Instruments Ltd., an Israeli technology company in the semiconductor industry, has won the stay it requested in the patent litigation case brought by its Silicon Valley rival Nanometrics Inc.

The stay was allowed pending the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office’s completion of the reexamination of the patent in the lawsuit. Judge Saundra Brown Armstrong granted the stay on Feb. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
