Pioneer Wants ITC Review Of GPS Infringement Ruling

Law360, New York (January 19, 2011, 3:18 PM ET) -- Pioneer Corp. has asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to overturn an administrative law judge's finding that GPS maker Garmin Corp.'s navigation products did not infringe three Pioneer-owned patents.

Pioneer petitioned the ITC on Tuesday to review the ALJ's initial determination, correct “its errors of law and fact” and find a violation of Section 337, focusing on two of the three patents-in-suit.
