Law360, New York (January 26, 2011, 1:37 PM ET) -- The Federal Circuit has affirmed a jury's award of nearly $3.5 million in lost profits to Emcore Corp. and JDS Uniphase Corp. in an appeal over Optium Corp.’s alleged infringement of two patents for fiber-optic technology.
A three-judge panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed the award without comment in a nonprecedential judgment issued Tuesday. A more detailed opinion was not immediately available.
