Law360, New York (February 14, 2011, 2:24 PM ET) -- Lodsys LLC has accused Canon USA Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Hewlett-Packard Co. and a slew of other companies of infringing three patents for exchanging information with customers via products like printers, personal computers and servers.
Texas-based Lodsys filed a complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, seeking treble damages from Canon, Samsung and HP, as well as Hulu LLC, Lexmark International Inc., Lenovo Inc., Motorola Mobility Inc., Novell Inc., Trend Micro Inc. and Brother International Corp.
