Law360, New York (February 22, 2011, 2:36 PM ET) -- A former Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. employee who has spent more than a year in jail was sentenced last week to time served for stealing trade secrets in an effort to set up a competing business in his native India.
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York on Thursday sentenced Shalin Jhaveri, 30, to time served to be followed by three years of supervised release. The government will immediately begin deportation proceedings, the FBI said.
