Occlutech Implants Don’t Violate IP: Swedish Court

Law360, New York (March 04, 2011, 6:48 PM ET) -- Occlutech GmbH announced Friday that a Swedish court had ruled in its favor in an ongoing patent infringement dispute with St. Jude Medical Inc. over minimally invasive implant devices for treating structural heart disease.

The district court of Stockholm held that there was no basis for St. Jude’s claim that Occlutech’s ASD and PFO occluders were in violation of a patent, according to Occlutech, a Jena, Germany-based medical implant developer.
