Law360, New York (March 11, 2011, 7:31 PM ET) -- Aventis Pharma SA and Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC decided Friday to stop fighting a judgment in favor of Sandoz Inc. in its patent suit over Sandoz's generic version of cancer treatment Taxotere.
Judge Gregory M. Sleet signed off on a consent order and judgment in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
The parties consented to the judgment “to promote efficiency and economy for themselves and the court,” Judge Sleet said. The judgment bars the plaintiffs from asserting the two patents-in-suit as valid.
