Law360, New York (May 02, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- An electronic labeling company has sounded a legal alarm against a Japanese rival for allegedly infringing a patent for tiny microchips used for inventory management and tracking.
Avery Dennison Corp. filed a suit Friday against Toray International Inc. over a method for making radio frequency identification, or RFID, devices. The technology allows users to access information stored on microchips that are connected to radio frequency antennas.
