Law360, New York (April 22, 2011, 7:11 PM ET) -- A federal jury in Texas this month found Google Inc. liable to the tune of $5 million for infringing a Bedrock Computer Technologies LLC patent for information storage techniques relating to the Linux operating system.
The jury found on April 15 that Bedrock proved by a preponderance of the evidence that Google infringed two claims of U.S. Patent Number 5,893,120, while Google failed to prove that any of the listed claims of the patent were invalid.
