Law360, New York (May 07, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Continuing a run of intellectual property battles in the lucrative liquid crystal displays industry, Taiwan’s Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp. has hit LG Philips LCD Co. Ltd. with a suit alleging LG Philips infringed four of its patents.
The suit, filed on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, accuses LG Philips LCD and its American subsidiary of infringing patents relating to a new type of display, thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panels.
