Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 5:15 PM ET) -- A Massachusetts federal judge on Tuesday dismissed most claims that Candela Corp.’s laser hair removal products infringe Palomar Medical Technologies Inc.'s patent covering optical pulse hair removal technology.
U.S. District Judge Rya Zobel mostly granted Candela’s summary judgment bid relating to the company's GentleLASE, GentleYAG and GentleMAX products, which are designed to remove hair by damaging the follicle with laser radiation, among other medical uses.
