Samsung Sues Renesas Over Semiconductor Patents

Law360, New York (May 08, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Samsung Electronics Co. filed a lawsuit against rival Renesas Technology Corp. on Friday, accusing the Japanese semiconductor company of infringing on certain patents relating to memory-chip production technology.

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, alleges that Reneas knowingly infringed on a patent relating to the fabrication of semiconductor chips, and another patent involving direct memory access technology.
