Suit Says Toyota's New Hybrid Car Violates Patent

Law360, New York (May 09, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Nearly a year after losing a patent battle involving three of its hybrid vehicles, Toyota Motor Corp. has not learned its lesson and has launched another infringing hybrid vehicle, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday.

Paice LLC accuses the Japanese auto maker and its U.S. affiliates of continuing to infringe its patent for a hybrid electric vehicle with the hybrid Camry sedan following a December 2005 jury verdict in Paice’s favor.
