Law360, New York (May 13, 2011, 7:23 PM ET) -- The maker of Wild Turkey whiskey on Friday accused Jim Beam Brands Co. in Kentucky federal court of ripping off its trademark, "Give 'Em The Bird," in advertisements for Old Crow whiskey.
Rare Breed Distilling LLC alleges its has used "Give Them The Bird" in Wild Turkey advertisements since 2006, which in 2009 evolved to "Give 'Em The Bird." In 2010, Rare Breed said, Jim Beam started using the phrase on its Old Crow whiskey advertisements.
