Coach, Sears Resolve IP Suit Over Luggage Knockoffs

Law360, New York (May 17, 2011, 6:34 PM ET) -- Coach Inc. on Monday resolved a trademark infringement lawsuit in New York accusing Sears Holding Corp. and luggage manufacturer 24 Seven International LLC of selling knock-off versions of Coach luggage at Kmart stores.

U.S. District Judge Lawrence M. McKenna issued an order dismissing Sears, its subsidiary Kmart, and 24 Seven from the suit with prejudice, bringing a close to one of several suits the luxury accessories retailer has brought recently to protect its designs.
