Law360, New York (May 23, 2011, 5:17 PM ET) -- Apeldyn Corp. hit Sony Corp. with a patent suit over liquid crystal display technology in Delaware on Thursday, about a year after it agreed to dismiss the company from another suit over the same patent.
Oregon-based Apeldyn says that portable computers, computer monitors and televisions made by Sony and its U.S. subsidiary Sony Electronics Inc. exploit technology developed by Apeldyn that improves the response time of the liquid crystal material in LCD screens, according to the complaint.
