Law360, New York (June 17, 2011, 3:19 PM ET) -- On June 20, 2011, by order of bankruptcy courts in the United States and Canada, Nortel Networks Corp. will auction its patent portfolio. Nortel’s portfolio is vast — including some 6,000 patents and patent applications directed to telecommunications, video, wireless, Web and other related technologies. While it remains to be seen exactly how much money the auction will raise, pre-auction estimates and bids suggest ranges in the high nine figures to more than a billion dollars!
