Kolon Sanctioned For Deleting Evidence In DuPont Fight

Law360, New York (July 22, 2011, 1:46 PM ET) -- A Virginia federal judge on Thursday hit Kolon Industries Inc. with sanctions for deleting emails and files relevant to DuPont Co.'s lawsuit accusing it of using trade secrets related to body armor component Kevlar that were stolen by a DuPont employee.

DuPont's lawsuit, filed in February 2009, alleges that South Korea-based Kolon used confidential information about Kevlar stolen by a former DuPont employee to improve its process for producing a rival product.
