Energy Companies Hit By Call Systems Patent Suits

Law360, New York (June 07, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Prolific inventor Ronald A. Katz, whose portfolio of telecommunications patents has already earned him over $1 billion, has filed another two patent infringement suits—this time against energy companies in North Carolina and Nevada.

The North Carolina suit was filed against Progress Energy Inc., its subsidiaries and RBC Centura Bank. The Nevada suit was filed against Sierra Pacific Resources and Nevada Power Co.
