Canon Exits Video, Digital Signal Patent Suit

Law360, San Diego (August 12, 2011, 6:46 PM ET) -- Canon Inc. on Thursday resolved claims against it in Princeton Digital Image Corp.’s suit in Texas alleging several imaging giants have infringed patents for digital signal and video technology.

U.S. District Judge T. John Ward signed off on the parties’ joint bid to dismiss Canon and its U.S. unit from the case with prejudice and ordered each party to cover its own attorneys’ fees and costs.

Attorneys representing the parties were not immediately available for comment Friday.
