Law360, New York (October 05, 2011, 9:44 PM ET) -- Mobile services company MacroSolve Inc. on Monday sued software company Whoop Inc. in Texas on Monday, continuing its campaign to defend a patent covering wireless data collection technology.
MacroSolve accuses Texas-based Whoop of ripping off its technology with software that allows users to create smartphone apps that collect information from mobile users.
"Whoop directly or through intermediaries, made, had made, used, imported, provided, supplied, distributed, sold, and/or offered for sale products and/or systems … that infringed one or more claims of [MacroSolve's] patent," the complaint said. ...
