Law360, New York (October 24, 2011, 3:43 PM ET) -- A New York judge on Monday limited country music star Brad Paisley's lawsuit alleging Sony Music Entertainment Inc. miscalculated his royalties, ruling an agreed-on deadline to sue over some of the alleged miscalculations had passed.
Judge Barbara R. Kapnick said her hands were tied by a tolling agreement that Sony and Paisley had entered into, and she ruled that Paisley could only challenge royalties and auditing statements since Jan. 1, 2006.
