GSK, Colgate Put Toothpaste Nurdle IP Battle Behind Them

Law360, New York (November 07, 2011, 9:06 PM ET) -- GlaxoSmithKline LLC and Colgate-Palmolive Co. have agreed to drop their trademark dispute over a marketing phrase and the image of a “nurdle” — a striped dollop of toothpaste — according to documents filed Monday in New York federal court.

Both parties have “resolved the matters in issue between them pursuant to a confidential settlement agreement” effective Oct. 28, and each party will bear its own costs, according to a stipulation filed by attorneys for the two companies.
