Law360, Los Angeles (January 09, 2012, 8:03 PM ET) -- A North Carolina federal jury on Friday awarded Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products LP $791,431, finding that rival Von Drehle Corp. had infringed a trademark over paper towels for electronic dispensers.
The panel's decision resolves more than five years of litigation between the two over Georgia-Pacific's enMotion electronic paper towel dispenser. Georgia-Pacific claimed Von Drehle had contributed to trademark infringement by selling cheaper and inferior paper towels that could be used in its dispenser.
