Law360, New York (January 10, 2012, 1:17 PM ET) -- Interplay Entertainment Corp., original developer of the “Fallout” line of video games, on Monday forfeited its rights to continue work on the series — resolving a trademark dispute with former business partner Bethesda Softworks LLC.
Interplay agreed to accept $2 million in exchange for relinquishing its rights to the “Fallout” series to Bethesda, which had accused Interplay of failing to honor a 2007 agreement by which Interplay was to develop a mass-scale online video game for Bethesda.
