Bosch Targets Trico In Windshield Wiper IP Blitz

Law360, New York (January 20, 2012, 8:28 PM ET) -- In its latest attempt to defend patented windshield wiper blades, car parts maker Robert Bosch LLC sued rival Trico Products Corp. in Illinois federal court Friday, alleging that several of Trico's products rely on protected technology.

Bosch alleges Trico's installation instructions for four of its windshield wiper blades — the Trico NeoForm, Flex, Tech and Force models — encourage customers to infringe two patents that allow the blades to fit into “top lock” and “side lock” wiper arms.
