Law360, New York (January 30, 2012, 7:13 PM ET) -- The Federal Circuit on Monday reversed a lower court's ruling invalidating a mobile phone network patent that IPCom GmbH & Co. KG asserted against HTC Corp., finding that the patent is not indefinite.
The lower court ruled that the patent contained both an apparatus and method steps, a type of hybrid claim that is invalid for indefiniteness, according to Federal Circuit precedent.
