Law360, New York (February 23, 2012, 1:34 PM ET) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday agreed to investigate claims from bankrupt Eastman Kodak Co. that smartphones and tablets made by Apple Inc. and HTC Corp. infringe five of its digital imaging technology patents.
Kodak filed a complaint with the ITC on Jan. 10, accusing Apple, HTC and HTC subsidiary Exedea Inc. of violating Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by importing camera-equipped smartphones and tablets into the U.S. that infringe the patents-in-suit.
