Grooveshark Owner Tears Into Record Cos.' Copyright Case

Law360, New York (March 2, 2012, 1:25 PM ET) -- The owner of online music service Grooveshark on Thursday ripped a copyright complaint filed in New York federal court by UMG Recordings Inc., Warner Bros. Records Inc. and other record labels, calling it “among the least informative and substantive pleadings imaginable.”

Escape Media Group Inc. and Grooveshark founders Samuel Tarantino and Joshua Greenberg said the court should toss the record labels' Dec. 15 amended complaint and give the plaintiffs a chance to fix — if they are able — various pleading deficiencies.
