Law360, New York (March 07, 2012, 2:19 PM ET) -- Angelina Jolie asked an Illinois court Tuesday to toss or transfer a copyright infringement suit brought by a Croatian author over Jolie’s directorial debut “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” saying the case should have been filed in California.
In separate motions filed in Illinois federal court, Jolie and the film’s producers asked the court to dismiss the copyright infringement complaint brought by author James Braddock, also known as Josip J. Knezevic, or alternatively to transfer the suit to California.
