Due Process Covers File-Sharing Fines, US Tells 8th Circ.

Law360, New York (March 23, 2012, 4:32 PM ET) -- The U.S. Attorney General's Office on Thursday weighed in on a suit by record labels against a woman who allegedly pirated music, telling the Eighth Circuit it should rule against her argument that Copyright Act statutory damages violate the due process clause.
