Bill To Boost USPTO Funding To $2.9B Advances In House

Law360, New York (April 20, 2012, 5:00 PM ET) -- A panel of the House Appropriations Committee approved a bill Thursday that would give the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office $2.93 billion in funding for the fiscal year beginning in October, a funding increase of $255 million over the current fiscal year.

The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies voted to send the bill, which sets funding for the departments of Commerce and Justice and science-related agencies, to the full Appropriations Committee.
