Law360, New York (May 24, 2012, 2:48 PM ET) -- The Federal Circuit on Thursday upheld a win for Microsoft Corp. in a patent case brought by Walker Digital LLC, finding that the trial court had properly interpreted the claim construction of an Internet search patent held by Walker.
The appellate court rejected Walker's appeal of a California federal court's ruling that Walker's patent was not infringed by a Microsoft software tool that allows users to initiate Internet searches from other applications while simultaneously continuing to use these same programs.
